Students in Mr. Henry's class conducted science experiments to investigate physics. The amazing eruption happens when Mentos are dropped into soda. It is a physical, not chemical reaction. The pieces of the reaction are there, but they are simply rearranged.

The students measured changing variables, such as soda brand and amount of Mentos, to see how the create smaller or greater physical reactions. They took detailed data on their experiment and used scientific logic to draw conclusions about the effects of various factors on the physical reaction.
