Our valiant Spartans fought an uphill battle against the George Middle School 7th grade basketball team yesterday. Despite an early lead by our rivals, Spartans stuck with it and outscored the George Middle School team in the final quarter of the game. Big plays by Juan Figueroa and other champion Spartans resulted in a fourth quarter comeback that fell short, but demonstrated our tenacity and resolve in the face of challenges. Though defeated this time in points, our Spartans showed integrity and perseverance by sticking in there to the end, beginning a late comeback, and congratulating their rivals at the end of the game. A good time with exercise, teamwork, and good sportsmanship was demonstrated by our athletes in an entertaining and exciting sports exhibition. Come out to see our Spartan warriors try to turn it around tomorrow against Fischer Middle school tomorrow.
