Bridges Academy students earned awards at the annual in MESA Day competitions!

Established over 40 years ago, the California Community College Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Programs help underserved and underrepresented students majoring in calculus-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields who seek to transfer to a four-year institution.

Coding:
1st Place - Addis Domingo (7th)
2nd Place - Noe Meza - (7th)
 
Cargo Glider:
1st Place - Jake Almendras (8th) 
2nd Place - Angel Briseno (7th)
 
Moon Base
1st Place - Kelvin Duong 8th, Sokheng Keo 8th, Luis Gonzales 7th
2nd Place - Eliesa Tupou, Cristian Diaz, Anthony De Lira (8th)
3rd Place - Chris Ong, Aron Vizueth, Nghia Tran (8th)
 
MESA Machine (The winners from Moonbase also won the MESA machine)

Innovative Engineering Design Ribbons were given to:
Kelvin Duong 8th, Sokheng Keo 8th, Luis Gonzales 7th for their MESA Machine
Angel Briseno for Glider
 
1st and 2nd place winners are invited to compete at the regional competition held at UC Davis this year.
