HISTORY of the EVENT

The Jingle Bell Run is a cross country style race done at the school to foster participation and wellness to our 7th and 8th grade students.

This tradition began when educator Rodney Palmer was seeking ways to help alleviate the financial burden that many of our families face, but especially during the holiday season. He organized the event and gathered donations to provide 12 families with a Turkey Dinner and all the fixings.  We have 4 racing divisions and the top 3 students in each race are awarded the dinners. 

It is our intention to create an opportunity where our students can earn their family a holiday meal and to increase participation in school wide events that promote positive opportunities for youth.
