Jingle Bell Run

Students and staff gathered for our annual Jingle Bell Run. It is a tradition at Bridges Academy where 7th and 8th grade students competed in a mile run out on the track and around the school campus. The competition was fierce but friendly. Some students gave it all the effort they could, while others just enjoyed a pleasant run outside with a supportive crowd. Students spectators cheered on supporting their friends, and other participants, with signs and encouraging shouts.

Congratulations to all who participated in our annual race. It was a great opportunity for building camaraderie and school spirit while encouraging physical activity. All participants were cheered on and praised by the crowd of students and faculty for their grit, determination, bravery to compete, and good sportsmanship. PE teacher, Mr. Lopez, also ran with the students to encourage and inspire other students for fitness and determination. He ended the mile-long race with a time of 6:38 for the mile. A spectacular athlete, 7th grader Jose Aguirre, was the only person to beat that time with a time of 6:29 seconds- a lightening-quick mile race time. Winners received a holiday chicken dinner. All participants received certificates and small prizes and our gratitude for the entertaining race. Join us next year for our annual Jingle Bell Run and don't to forget to encourage the students to practice all year long.
